Hey Moose,

 

Sorry for the delayed response.  First, I'd try updating to Java 7 or 8, as this alone may fix the issues you're seeing.  You should be able to download a newer version here: https://www.java.com/en/download/

 

Due to how Java works, you may need to either uninstall any older versions first, or change you system settings to use the newly installed version.

Hey Moose!

 

Sorry to hear about the crashes.  Does it give you a crash log, or does it just freeze or close?  If it does give a crash log, could you PM it to me?  In the meantime, I do have one suggestion to try: connect to legacy.mc.gameon365.net instead of the normal mc.gameon365.net.  This will take you directly to the Legacy survival server, and bypass what I suspect may be causing the crashes.
