Missing Pets and Farm Animals

In order to maintain server stability, we may periodically clear all non-player entities from all loaded chunks on the server. By default, this includes all hostile and neutral mobs, including those that a player may have herded into a farm. Unfortunately, we typically cannot restore any animals lost due to this. For this reason, we recommend capturing farm animals and using their spawn eggs to spawn them when they're needed again. Alternatively, you can place your farm in a part of the world that is not heavily visited, so that it will be unloaded at most times. Animals in unloaded chunks are not affected.

GameOn365 is dedicated to providing an enjoyable gaming experience for all players.

We will never reset the world, and we will not remove any legitimately gained items from players. If at any time we decide to start a new world, we will provide a way for you to access what you've previously built on the server.
In the event that you lose items due to a bug or glitch, we will attempt to restore them if we can verify the loss.
If at any time the stability or performance of the server is degraded, we may restart it to improve the gaming experience and reduce lag. This typically takes about 3 minutes, and will ensure that everyone can enjoy the game once again. We'll try to send warning messages out before the restart, but don't worry, you won't lose anything when the server restarts!
If your building gets griefed, our staff will rollback your building to a time before the griefing occurred upon request. Just let us know as soon as you notice and we'll be glad to help!
If you ever have any suggestions, post them on the forums and we'll be glad to take a look.
We will attempt to upgrade the server to new Minecraft versions as soon as possible. However, we will not risk the stability and security of the server to do so if major bugs are still present.
If at anytime you are unsatisfied with the way something has been handled, you can speak directly to our highest ranking staff members, the administration team. To do so, just open a support ticket in the Minecraft Server Administration department. We'll be sure to review your ticket and respond as soon as possible.

User Inactivity and Abandonment Policy

Any player that is offline for an extended period of time may lose previously obtained items and structures according to our inactivity policy, as outlined below.

If a player meets any of the following conditions:

The player is at the default rank (no website account and has not played for more than 16 hours total), and has not been online for more than 7 days.
The player is at the linked rank (has either a website account), and has not been online for more than 14 days.
The player is at the member rank (has a website account and has played for more than 16 hours total), and has not been online for more than 21 days.
The player was previously a premium subscriber (at the VIP rank), and has not been online for more than 21 days since the subscription expired.
The player was banned and did not appeal the ban within 7 days.
The player was permanently banned without the opportunity to appeal.

The following actions may occur:

All items, in-game currency, chest contents, and structures (including those in a protected region) belonging to the player will be lost.
Any data saved (including but not limited to in-game location, homes, settings, etc) for the player may be removed.

Planning Extended Time Offline
Should a player expect to be away for an extended period of time and plan to return, they should submit a support ticket so that we can prevent their account from being marked as inactive.

However, the following actions are taken automatically when a player is offline for an extended period of time and cannot be prevented by staff members:

After 28 days of inactivity, a player will be removed from their faction.
After 42 days of inactivity, chest protection signs will expire, allowing other players to take items from the chests.

Claiming Abandoned Structures
If you believe a structure has been abandoned and would like to claim it as your own, please contact an administrator, who will decide if you may become the new owner of the structure. Typically, if the player who built the structure meets the above inactivity requirements, you will be allowed to claim the structure. Any player who claims an abandoned structure will be expected to maintain the structure, and cannot tear it down to gather the materials for personal gain.

In accordance with our Terms of Service, GameOn365 reserves the right to modify or remove any player's data at any time.

VIP Subscriber Benefits

VIP's will receive the following benefits on the GameOn365 Minecraft Server:

Two bonus item roll credits for each day you log in (up from one).
Ability to join the server even if it is full.
Will not be kicked from the server if AFK for an extended period of time.
No fees for creating a chest shop.
Able to set up to 20 homes.
Able to use color codes in chat and on signs.
No waiting between teleports.
Able to buy all 54 bank chests.
Keep your progress towards the next level upon death.
Ability to gather all logs from a tree by chopping the bottom log with a gold or diamond axe.
Place nether warts in the main world.
Ability to use VIP-only classes in certain battlegrounds.
Capture villagers, squid, and hostile mobs to receive their spawn eggs.
Costs to capture mobs are greatly reduced (approximately 90% less in-game currency and experience per capture).
Gain 50% more in-game currency per monster kill.
Ability to claim 5 additional plots in the creative world.
Ability to use WorldEdit in the creative world.

VIP's will also receive the following new commands:

/treeassist toggle -- Enable or disable the above log gathering feature.
/mc -- Enable or disable flying on a magic carpet.
/fireworks -- Allows you to create an unlimited number of custom fireworks with a simple editor.
/top -- Takes you to the very top block at the location you are standing.
/hat -- Use the block in your hand as a hat.
/stack -- Condense all of a certain item in your inventory (such as swords or armor) into stacks of up to 64.
/v -- Access to an uncrafter, workbench, enchanting table, and 10 mobile chests, furnaces, and brewing stands.
//help -- Shows all available WorldEdit commands. (Creative world only.)
/wt -- Clears your inventory and provides tools for use with WorldEdit. (Creative world only.)

VIP's will also receive the following benefits when interacting with staff members:

Priority support -- Your support tickets will be created at the front of the queue.
A helping hand when possible -- So long as we're not busy, we'll be happy to help you out with things such as moving buildings/chests.

When you join GameOn365's Minecraft server, you start out with $250 in-game currency. You'll gain a random 1-2% interest every 10 minutes you're online until you reach $10,000.

Exploitation Policy

GameOn365 takes a zero-tolerance stance on exploitative behaviors. This includes (but is not limited to):

Any bug or glitch in the service that allows players to gain an unfair advantage in any part of the game.
Use of unauthorized third-party client modifications that attempt to modify or manipulate the data stored by the game servers.
Use of unauthorized third-party programs to automate any amount of gameplay with minimal player interaction.
Any activity that results in a player duplicating items or receiving items in an unintended way.
Any action that gives a player a direct advantage over others in combat.

Any player found to be exploiting will be subject to one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity of the exploit:

A warning if it is a fist-time offense and the investigating staff member deems it appropriate.
Removal of any benefits that were gained from the exploit.
Being temporarily suspended from the game.
Being permanently banned from the game.

If a player unknowingly exploits a bug or glitch and immediately reports it to our staff, the player will not be penalized (other than having any benefits gained from it removed). You can report an exploit by submitting a ticket.

Warps

Animal Spawning Policy

Except under certain limited circumstances, GameOn365 staff are not permitted to spawn mobs for players.

Pets
All requests to have pets (ocelots, wolves, etc) spawned for players will be denied.

Other Uses
Any other requests for mob spawning will be handled at the discretion of the server staff. However, please keep in mind that most requests will likely be denied.

Linking Your Forum and In-Game Accounts

Linking your forum and in-game accounts will earn you a promotion either from default to linked, or from linked to member, depending on your current rank. (You'll receive the other promotion after having played on the server for 16 hours.)

To link your account, type /ws verify in-game, using the email address you provided when registering for the forums.

Default
The group that all players start in.

Linked and Member
You will receive a promotion to these groups when you meet the following requirements:

Registered and linked your forum account.
Spend at least 16 hours on the server.

You'll get a promotion from either default to linked or linked to member whenever you reach either of these requirements.

VIP
You'll automatically be promoted to VIP if you purchase a subscription on the forums.  Once the subscription runs out, your VIP status will be removed.

Ambassador
Ambassadors usually represent a large group of players and have a direct line of contact to the server staff.  All ambassadors are hand-picked by staff, usually because they've invited a lot of other players to the server.

Builder
Builders have proven their ability to create astounding structures in the world, and have also proven that they will not abuse their access to creative mode.  Builders are hand-selected by the server staff, based on many factors.

Moderator and Administrator
Players that show an outstanding level of dedication and contribution to the server may be selected for a moderator or administrator position.  Being selected for either of these positions typically requires having been active on the server for multiple months as well.

Staff Interaction Policy

Requesting Permissions
All staff members are hand-picked by the administrators. Requesting a promotion or special permissions will most likely only hurt your chances of being selected in the future.

Speaking to Staff Members
Most staff members are either trying to improve the game experience, resolve an issue for a player, or are playing the game themselves when they are online. We ask that you remain patient and maintain a respectful attitude when communicating with the server staff.

Staff Trading
Staff are not permitted to trade with or give items to players, except for restoring items in accordance with the item restoration policy.

Asking staff for items may result in:

A warning
Your chat privileges being revoked
Your account being suspended

Client Modification Policy

Authorized Client Modifications
The following client modifications are allowed on the GameOn365 Minecraft Server:

Spout
WorldEdit CUI
Minimaps
Any modification to disable weather (snow/rain) particles
Optifine (Fog MUST be enabled at all times.)
Modifications that enable the use of high-resolution texture packs

If a player is using any client modifications that are not explicitly allowed per the above list, they will be banned.  Most client modifications send a hidden message to the server when you connect, so staff can easily identify players using unauthorized modifications.

If a client mod automatically executes any commands, do not use it!  Our staff will warn and/or ban players that attempt to run commands such as /plugins, /ver, and /give.

Security Risks
Using client modifications can put your account at a higher risk of being accessed by a malicious individual, and also present other security risks.

Other Client Modifications
If you believe there are any other client mods that should be allowed on GameOn365's Minecraft server, please contact support and include a link to the mod.  We'll be sure to review your request.

Item Distribution and Restoration Policy

This policy will go into effect on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at 4am server time.

Although we have gone to great lengths to ensure the integrity of the data on our servers and the safety of weapons, armor, and currency, occasionally players may lose this virtual property. Whenever possible, our staff will, upon request, attempt to restore lost items. Please keep in mind that restorations are never guaranteed.

Loss Due to Reasons Beyond a Player's Control
We will attempt to restore the virtual property if we can verify that your loss of virtual property was the direct result of:

A documented bug
Data loss due to a problem with our service (unless due to a global database revert).

Loss Due to User Error
We will attempt to restore the virtual property if we can verify that your loss of virtual property was the direct result of:

Accidental deletion
Falling victim to a scam
Any other user error

Refusal of Restorations
Keep in mind, we reserve the right to refuse any restoration. Reasons a restoration may be refused include (but are not limited to) waiting an extended period of time to report the loss, no log data on our servers showing the loss, another player receiving the items after they were lost (except in the case of scams), or any other reason determined by the staff.

Staff Trading
Staff are not permitted to trade with or give items to players without evidence supporting the player's previous loss of the items. Server logs are the only evidence that the staff may use when determining if a player has lost an item. Screenshots and other user-submitted evidence will not be accepted or considered.

Asking staff for items may result in:

A warning
Your chat privileges being revoked
Your account being suspended

High Latency and Lag Issues

We're aware of some possible lag issues at peak usage times. Please do not disconnect and immediately reconnect to the game server if you are experiencing lag, as it will not solve the problem, and will only cause more lag. We are proactively monitoring the server so that we can provide the best experience possible.

Lag may be caused by:

The distance between you and the sever. (GameOn365's application servers are located on the east coast of the United States.)
Scheduled backups. (Backups will run for approximately 15 minutes after you first see the message in chat.)
Warping or teleporting to different places more than a few times every hour.

Chat Channels and Whispers

Public Channels
There are multiple public chat channels available in GameOn365's Minecraft server. You can view a list of all channels any time by typing /ch list. You can switch channels by typing /ch .

Currently, there are 3 public chat channels:

[G] Global (/ch g)
[L] Local (/ch l)
[T] Trade (/ch t)

Faction and Alliance Chat
You can switch between faction, alliance, and normal chat modes by typing /f c to cycle through the modes.

Whispering Other Players
You can whisper another player by starting your message with an at symbol and their username. For example, typing @PlayerB Hey! will send the message "Hey!" to PlayerB. To respond to the last message you received, you can type /r .

Requesting Staff Assistance
If you ever need to request assistance from a staff member, you can type /helpop , and all online staff will be notified.

Note: All chat messages are logged in accordance with the GameOn365 Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Battlegrounds

There are various battlegrounds on GameOn365's Minecraft server.  You can access the battlegrounds from the warhub by typing /warhub.  If you need to leave a battle in progress, type /leave and you'll be teleported out and your inventory will be restored.

Selecting a Loadout
When entering a battleground, your inventory is saved, and will be restored when you exit.  There are various loadouts available in the battlegrounds that give you different items, weapons, and armor.  You can change loadouts by sneaking (default key: shift) in your team's spawn point.  You will not be able to change after leaving the spawn.

Urban
Urban is a battleground of a run-down city.  As the city is up in flames and surrounded by water, there are a lot of obstacles to avoid walking into, or else you'll end up harming yourself.  There are also various chests, tunnels, and hidden spaces.  Spawn points are two pipes high in the outer walls of the battleground.  There are also two towers that can be strategically used by archers and mages to attack from above.  While on the ground, you'll be in a fog and only able to see a limited distance around you, but you'll be able to see everything from up high in the spawn pipes and towers.

Protecting Your Land and Chests

There are various ways to protect your land in GameOn365's Minecraft server, which will prevent other players (aside from the ones you've authorized) from making changes to it.

Claiming a Region
To protect land for yourself, or a group of players, you can claim a region. At this time, you will need to contact an administrator to claim a region for you. You can then allow other players to modify blocks in the region by using the /rg addmember command.

Claiming Land for Factions
See this article for information on how you can claim land for your faction.

Chest Protection
You can protect your chests by placing a sign on them. If you'd like to give multiple people access to a chest, place a sign on a block next to the chest, and type [Private] on the first line, and player names on the next 3 lines. You can use multiple signs with this format to give more players access to the chest. In claimed regions, only players that have been added as an owner or member will be able to access chests by default, so a protection sign is not needed. If you'd like to give all players on the server access to chests in a claimed region, set the region flag chest-access: allow. Chest protection in a faction's claimed land is subject to the restrictions in the faction policy.
