The Gameon365 Minecraft server will frequently host small contests in-game, in which you will be able to earn not only in-game item prizes, but also prizes that are actually worth something IRL! (Zomgnowai) Yes way!

Prizes will include:

• Diamonds
• Diamond-related items
• Gold
• Gold related items
• Real life prizes such as
  
• Steam game keys
• Promotions in-game (Not guaranteed)

What contests will be hosted, you might ask

• Monster hunt (Mob Hunt)
  
• Every other night (Minecraft night, not real nights as we have a multitude of international players,) each player will have the chance to participate in a mob hunting contest in which you fight other players and mobs to earn points. The top 3 players with the most points will earn prizes in-game. These prizes include:
  
• First place (200pt minimum) - Two Diamonds!
• Second place (70pt minimum) - One diamond
• Third place (30pt minimum) - 8 Gold ore

• For those who enjoy the PvP aspect of gaming, we offer a few different battlegrounds in which players can participate with different game modes such as: Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Single-Flag Capture the Flag, Free-for-all (Zonal-Control?)

• Urban - Team Deathmatch, Urban is a battleground of a run-down city. As the city is up in flames and surrounded by water, there are a lot of obstacles to avoid walking into, or else you'll end up harming yourself. There are also various chests, tunnels, and hidden spaces. Spawn points are two pipes high in the outer walls of the battleground. There are also two towers that can be strategically used by archers and mages to attack from above. While on the ground, you'll be in a fog and only able to see a limited distance around you, but you'll be able to see everything from up high in the spawn pipes and towers.

• Warsong Mini - Capture the flag, our Warsong Mini battleground is based on the World of Warcraft battleground: Warsong gulch. Though it is considerably smaller and hosts fewer players than it's MMO-counterpart, the Warsong Mini battleground provides a challenge for all players in both their PvP skill and their team coordination. (ZOMG HEAL TEH TNAK!!1!one)

• Lost Isles - Single-Flag Capture the Flag, the Lost Isles battleground is set on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean where two tribes battle to control the sacred cake! Each team must battle to carry the cake, placed in the middle of the battlefield, back to their respective bases to score points for their team. There are various monuments placed throughout the battleground, soon to be used for a zonal-control-type battleground (Hopefully!). This battleground also hosts a multitude of powerups and weapons hidden throughout the island that will give your team an edge when you enter the heat of battle.

• Duel Arena - Free-for-all, this battleground is meant for two players to fight to the death in a small, caged arena where all of our players can watch the carnage take place. Battle your friends or obliterate your foes in this challenging 1v1 arena!

In the future, we hope to use these battlegrounds to host contests in which teams can participate to win prizes such as the ones mentioned above (Possibly some secret ones!) For this to be possible, we need many players to participate in our Minecraft PvP. Invite your friends and arrange a team to participate, once you've got all of your players signed up, find another team or create a second one yourself, then contact an admin to arrange a date and time for the tournament to take place!


Building contests


To encourage creativity and drive the builders on our server, building competitions will be hosted within specific areas of our various cities. Within the cities, specific regions will be selected for players to participate in the contests, being given creative mode and special permissions for building, with certain restrictions and limitations of course. Each player will be provided equal space, and more can be purchased in-game from the contest moderators or GameOn365 staff members using in game currency at the rate of $100 for a 10x10x10 cube of space.

• Rules and guidelines
  
  • Griefing of other entries is strictly prohibited and will invoke the following actions
    
    • Disqualification from contest
    • Removal of entry
    • Exclusion for the proceeding 3 contests after the initial disqualification
  • No racially intolerant, homophobic, sexual, or generally offensive structures will be tolerated. The entry will be removed and any further contest applications will be denied.
    
    • Swastikas, structures with phallic resemblance, any other objectionable structure will be subject to the above action.
• Block limitations: These blocks will be provided in limited supply by admins/mods only for use in contest entries.

All restrictions, limitations, and disqualifications will be enforced at the discretion of the contest administrators/moderators. Any action taken will be executed by the GameOn365 staff members. All contests will be judged by a panel of 3 staff members, the builders of the structures will remain unknown to the judges until the judging is finished and the winners are announced.
