Hey guys, hope you don't mind me making a little suggestion - might it be worth putting a description on each forum so we know what goes where? You've got 34 separate forums on the index page - so many in fact, that I completely missed the 'Getting Started' forum, because I didn't know what it did - it was only once I actually clicked on the forum and opened it up, THEN opened a thread, that I realised what was supposed to go in there. :)
I have a few more suggestions too, but I'd rather not make those in public. If you're interested, send me a PM. :)
I used to play EVE Online, and it seemed pretty awesome. Like most MMOs, when you're just starting out, things are a bit of a grind, but once you get to a level where you can fly some decent ships, your options really open up. CCP have done a good job of mostly letting the players decide what they want to do, rather than forcing people into certain pigeonholes. For example, my character (before I stopped playing) was primarily a miner, but also had the relevant skills to pilot medium-sized transport ships, and if push really came to shove, he could also do a job in a small battlecruiser should our mining operation need a little protection from pirates here and there. That's the sort of freedom you're allowed in EVE. You're not just limited to one or two roles.
