I've never got it and I've had my Xbox360 for three years. People need to learn to treat their consoles better. :P

I have never gotten a RRoD myself although I have had some problems with it reading discs but it was easily fixed by a quick clean. *crosses fingers*

Do you have one of the later release 360s? The earlier 360 consoles are much more prone to RRoD and other various issues. The newer generations are nearly flawless in my opinion and rarely break.I've never got it and I've had my Xbox360 for three years. People need to learn to treat their consoles better. :P

I've never had the RROD but I've heard that the 250GB model doesn't get it. Is that true?

Well I bought several Xbox 360 since 2007 (4 or 5) and just one had a RROD. It was an old model of Xbox 360. Today I have a Xbox 360 Elite (model Falcon) and I don't have problem of rrod.
If you want to preserve your 360 you mustn't put it in a closed closet. Xbox needs "to breathe". So give it most of air as possible. I heard that the Xbox 360 Slim has got less problem of RROD. So keep this in mind if you want to buy a 360.

Sorta. Like I said earlier the newer models have pretty much fixed the flaw that caused a lot of the early machines to RRoD. It can still happen but it's extremely unlikely unless you like to wrap your 360 in a towel before you play it. It's pretty rare for it to overheat enough on it's own to RRoD with proper use.I've never had the RROD but I've heard that the 250GB model doesn't get it. Is that true?

Cool, so I should be ok then. A few of my friends used to have problems with the older consoles getting RROD but they never complain anymore.

RRoD, I have had that many time before but the first time I had it was when my power cable was not fully plugged in. I screamed then relised and then sold my xbox cause of the stress.

There's loads of easy ways to fix it, if you haven't done already.
The best way than all the "tricks" is to use a heatgun or get it professionally reflowed.

I had it once on one of the older consoles I had, wasn't best pleased about it when I did as it was a brand new Xbox and had hardly been used to be honest. Since I got one of the new slim line Xbox 360's though I haven't had any RROD so I am wondering if maybe they cleared it up with the newer Xbox models. I remember a friend of mine getting RROD a few years ago and it was quite funny because as much as we all knew he shouldn't have done he still played on it and we was playing terrorist hunt and he was able to see where all the terrorists where due to the way the Xbox had changed the graphics whilst he was playing.
