Here are a few screenshots of the demo from the engine that Project Nitrogen will most likely be using. While this is still subject to change during development, this is our current choice. These screenshots are from the demo game that comes with the engine, they are not from the game that we are working on, though there will most likely be resemblances if we do decide to continue using this engine. I cannot stress this point enough, these are not final release screenshots - they are early development screenshots and a lot of what you see will change.

What engine is this actually ?
Is it realmcrafter ?

These screenshots are from the demo world included with the Big World engine. We were considering RealmCrafter, but decided to plan for using Big World instead since it seemed to have a better graphics engine, more customizable user interface, and better administrative and development features.

Realmcrafter isn't state of the art, true.
Didn't know there were other commercial opportunities out there instead of starting from scratch.
Call me up as a beta tester when things get working ;)

Glad to hear that you like it. Keep in mind that these are just concept images though. While you will probably see some buildings, objects, and units from these screenshots in the game, it will likely be changed greatly.

Wow, this actually looks pretty good.
What is the primary language that it is being coded/developed in? Is it a custom engine that you guys have built?

I like the way it looks the graphics are very good.
I also like that it has a Gothic kind of a feeling to it, by that I mean the surroundings and the characters look realistic.
I cant wait to see it in later phases of development considering it looks like this now when its in the early stage.

We'll be using the BigWorld engine. All coding will be via the Python API.

Sorry if this is answered somewhere else but I couldn't find it. What kind of MMO is this going to be? Is there any other info on it?

It's going to be a traditional MMORPG. At this point we don't have a lot of information available since we're still doing a lot of planning.
Also, for anyone who is interested in game development, we do have a handful of staff openings for Project Nitrogen.

Looks like a pretty good engine, definitely want to see what you guys can make with it, both in graphics and gameplay. I would TOTALLY want to help with this somehow, but I have no skills and I'm busy, so I will just sit by, cheering.
