Within the next few months, we plan to upgrade our main app server to Windows Server 2008 R2. While the upgrade is in progress, only the forums and some of our desktop applications will be accessible.

We will also be moving the files from the second app server (which only runs the Hotel Royale game server at this time and contains database backups) to the main app server. We are doing this because the second app server does not fit our needs at this time, and the hotel should run much better on the main app server (even alongside our other services). We will be replacing the second app server in 2010 with a more powerful server.

This is just an early notification of some of our plans for the future. The upgrade will most likely take approximately 6-12 hours in total. We'll post another announcement before we start the upgrade.
