API Terms of Use

Response Caching
You should cache the responses you receive from the GameOn365 APIs.  This ensures that both your servers and ours do not become overloaded.

  • For fast-changing APIs (such as the online user counts), you should cache the response for at least 2 minutes.
  • For slow-changing APIs (such as a certain user's public information), you should cache the response for at least 90 minutes.
Most of our API responses are cached, and will return the same response for at least 2 minutes.


Acceptable Use
You may not use the GameOn365 APIs for anything that is a violation the GameOn365 General Terms of Service or for any purposes that could be considered abusive by our administration.

You should email web@gameon365.net if you have any questions regarding whether your use of the API would be acceptable.


Logging
All attempts to access the GameOn365 APIs are logged.  Your server IP will be blacklisted if you abuse the API.
